about a week ago our car was broken into and 800 dollors was taken. we live in a small town and people leave there doors unlocked. now we cant pay our water bill whch is 240 and it is getting turned off on the 6/15/11 if not paid before. i dont no what to do! also we havent paid for our rent at all i told my land lord and he said he will give me a little bit but he said it hasd to be soon so he can pay the morage onn it. please please please i am so desprite ive callled churches and they dont have the funds and today i just came across this site so i hope to god this helps us. we never have a problem paying our bills but it is always tight but with 800 gone we dont no whats going to happen we need water we have a 2 year old son and my grandfather lives with us who is 86years old.please anyone reading this anything will help anything. im so scared of whats going to happen i cant belive this has happend. cant sleep at night now we dont no when we will get our money back they said they arrested the man and said he was on parole and that he will have to ppay restituion. so anyone who reads this please im begging u i really need help! please.

Your light bill is high and probably from having to deal with cancer you got behind. I would call the company for payment plans and make sure with electric, gas and phone you are on the low income plan as they all have them.. You need to find work. Can you do work from home? Check out womenforhire.com. You can apply to modestneeds.org for one time assistance with rent, microgiving.com, wishuponahero.com the latter for smaller request of money.

I would look at the free on line classifieds craigslist.org and backpages.com, your local paper, sign up to get job opportunities at snagajob.com..

There is a lady here that post work from home jobs and homejobstop.com has them but at a one time fee for when I joined it was 18 dollars. 

It is rough out there but if you have something you love to do think about it how you can turn it into a job. Senior centers out here have a list of people who help other seniors sign up for there.

I am currently 23 and just rented a new home. My roomate decided he was moving out and since the bill was in his name he had the power cut off. I have to come up with 400.00 just to have the power cut back on or move out by Sept. 20. I work at Sonic so my pay is just enough to pay the rent and power bill. i have found that most areas have a DSS station and 9 times out of 10 thay can help... i have used them to the point i can't anymore... also local foundations can help... i myself need help as well but i dont mind helping others as i can... you might also try churchs thay can help some times... and this can be done by anyone... you just have to put forth the effert to find these places... most DSS places can pay up to $600 for power bills local foundations can pay from $50-200 as well as churchs $50-200... unlike most people think there are alot of people out there that can and will help if you really need it... anyone in alexander county NC if you need help with some bills i may can help with letting you know where people are to help local...

my name is phillip (30) i live in NC and curently i owe about $300 for power bills... today is the cut off day... i am curently looking for work and my GF of 5 years is in the hospital and has been for almost a  year with gillion berra... i dont think thats spelled right but it basicly renders you paralized for a while... and she has 2 kids i am trying to take care of boy (8) and a girl (14)... i have been able to keep the bills paid untill now by working odd jobs... this is the first time and i hope the last time i have done anything like this... im not one to ask others to help with this kind of stuff... and i still wouldnt be if it werent for her kids... also i dont expect anyone to just pay my bills for me i will be glad to pay it all back as soon as im able to... in the past i have been one to help many people out with bills, food, work, and whatever thay might need that i could help with... i also every year donate my time around christmas to the local schools and run a toy donation for the more needy kids at those schools... if anyone is local i will be glad to work for the money doing odd jobs... i can do a little of anything (work on cars, work on web sites (grafix, HTML coding, bb coding, basic layouts, and also manage the site) carpentry work, or anything like that... ill even clean windows lol... so please if anyone out there has the means to help the kids and hyself with this problem i will forever be greatfull...

how do i get assistance? i just got divorced and the wife took the car so thair goes my employment. am disabled, have been the last 5 years. I'm an adult survivor of child abuse, which has left me with long lasting health problems.

Because of a paperwork mix up, I've lost my insurance and my disability has been cut. My phone and electric are due to be shut off. I'm trying to raise the $200 I need to keep them on.

On top of everything else, a dear friend of mine has passed away. Because she has no other family but me, I've been making her arrangements. The funeral isn't paid for yet, we're about $135 short on that. I've been trying to sell anything I can, Kathy deserves so much better than she's getting.

I'm not sleeping or eating. And I can't go to the doctor (it'll take months to straighten all this out), which means I'm now off my medications. Things are a mess.

I am in desperate need of some help with electric bill. It has been shut off for over a week now. They want 1000.00 to turn back on. How the bill got so high is a long story, my mom had died a year ago and I continued paying the electric bill that she had on the level pay plan which was 150.00 a month, anyways one month I had asked my landlord to pay my bill for me while I was at work and she said why don't you put it your name, so I called and did. Two days later they came and turned it off and said that I was responsible for my mothers bill so I had it turned back on which also included a 450.00 deposit and I also took us off the level pay plan, well how that works is you have to pay a ballon payment at the end of each year and that balloon payment was 750.00, so I had that plus my deposit and plus the current monthly bill. I tried my hardest to keep up with it. My husband has been very sick, and I got layed off and my job and having a hard time finding another one, I do odd jobs here and there to barely survive. I desperately need some help.

I am posting this today to see if we can get help with our electric bill. I recieved notice yesterday that if it's not paid by the 23rd of April they are going to shut it off. We have 3 children and my husband has been down with his hip not able to do much. I am on disablity and only draw $550 a month. Our electric bill is $498. I have gotten all of my other bills paid for and was hoping that our electric bill would drop thismonth but with this cold snap we have gotten and a faulty switch on the heater that stopped it from turning off, we got hit with a huge bill. Any help would be greatly appricated and I will return it as soon as I am able, promise. I will also send copies of the bill and where payment has been made to you so you'll know that is what it went for. I wouldn't lie about this, I don't know what we'll do with out electricity. I am trying to sell somethings around the house to help us come up with the money to help pay for it. The Lord works in mysterious ways!! A few hours after posting this I found out I won a contest I entered last year. The prize money is more than enough to cover my electric bill. My electric company is going to work with me until the prize money comes in. Thank you Lord! And thank you everyone for your prayers!

Hello.  First of all, we are an average family, who just needs a little extra help right now. I'm not going to make up some elaborate story that didn't really happen. My husband and I have 2 kids and we just need some help paying this month's bills. We aren't asking for the world, just enough to help keep us afloat.
The reason we are looking for some extra help is because my husband just switched jobs He did this to be closer to home (to spend more time with his family) This will also help us save money on gas (he worked 1 hour away from our home, now he is 15 minutes away). Unfortunately, he works on commission, so we have NO money yet this month. He is very discouraged and stressed that he is not able to provide enough for our family this month. I would love to lift some of this stress from his shoulders. I stay at home with our 2 kids, because it would COST us money for me to work (to pay for childcare). I am currently working my way towards my teaching degree. Any amount would be a GREAT help.
WE are already 2 months behind on our car, power and sewer bills.

However, Our Water is ready to be shut off, need $125 to pay it off. (this is most important)

Of course, EASTER is coming up and i have 2 young children who still believe in the Easter Bunny, and I'd like to NOT disappoint them. I know I could make them both happy on Eater morning for probably no more than $30.
